About

Intro

Iris is a choreographer and dance educator passionate about nurturing a dance community grounded in history, self-expression, and social change. With roots in Taiwan, she draws deep inspiration from her island home's culture and natural landscapes. Her dance training from Cloud Gate Dance Studios to the Ailey School encompasses Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip-hop, Chinese Opera Dance, and K-Pop. Now based in New York City, Iris dedicates her talents to uplifting and empowering immigrant youth throughout the five boroughs. Her teaching aims to instill confidence while guiding students to harness their own power through movement.

Joy is at the heart of Iris's teaching and choreographic practice.

Whether directing productions or leading community workshops, she strives to create spaces where young people feel seen, valued, and able to freely express themselves. Iris believes in the power of dance to spark positive transformation and re-imagine the world.
